Manual
Bladwijzer is your personal garden planner: you draw your garden, choose plants that suit it, get a calendar for the whole year and turn it step by step into a wildlife garden. You can also identify trees and plants and keep track of what you’ve found, together with whoever you like: your household, your neighbours, a community garden or a professional. This manual takes you through everything step by step.

Getting started
- Open Bladwijzer on your phone or computer. Your garden comes first on the home page: without an account, the garden planner and what it can do; with an account, My gardens and what needs doing this month.
- Create a free account and put your garden on the map: your plot comes from the land registry. Start a vegetable garden or add your houseplants too, and get it all in your own calendar.
- Choose plants that suit, harvest and cook with the recipes, and turn it step by step into a garden for nature with the wildlife garden guides.
- You can always identify plants, even without an account: choose Identify in the menu (or further down the home page) and take a photo via Photo, or work through the identification key. Everything you find goes into your guide.
Do you work in gardens or green spaces? Read For professionals, or see Bladwijzer for businesses.
Tip
Add Bladwijzer to your phone’s home screen: it then works like an app, and the identification key works without an internet connection too.
Searching
Tap the magnifying glass at the top, or press / anywhere in Bladwijzer (or Ctrl+K). You search the species, garden plants, diseases and pests, the pages and (when you’re logged in) your gardens, the plants in them, your guide and your groups, all at once. Choose with ↑ and ↓ and open with Enter. A plant from your garden opens straight on the map. At the bottom you can search this manual for the same word.
